elma ruth harder: "halloween doesn't have anything to do with community."

abu shuayB ash-Shaafi'ee: "'halloween creates a sense of community'? hah that is funny."

ameer farooq: "'halloween creates a sense of community'? say what?"

shanna allen: "does not."

creature X: "i dun't wanna live in no community relyin' on no halloween."

miriam herbold: "i am not a disciple of halloween, so couldn't say."

chris somebody: "i'd say it does. neighbourhood community. brings people together. kids hanging out with other kids."
[boo to him]

usman iqbal: "i don't know about halloween."

me: what would be your response to the statement 'halloween creates a sense of community'?
noor fatima kareema iqbal: [strange look] "uh--no it doesn't."
me: would you like to elaborate on that?
noor: not right now. i'm busy.

me: so, what d'you think about halloween creating a sense of community?
ismail: i don't want to say what i was thinkin'. too vulgar and rude. lol.

brendan clauson: "i'm not sure i completely agree."

creature Y: "sure it builds a sense of community [between corporations]."

caitlin m*nicom: "i guess yeah..if everyone trick or treats that would be considered creating a sense of community. why are you trying to demolish such rituals? if little kids enjoy getting dressed up and going out with their friends and family to recieve candy..like if its something they look forward to..why would you even bother arguing with it? how does it affect you? so you don't like it..then don't take part in it."
me: um--the foundation is nothing! and means nothing! by themselves, costumes and candy and everything are wonderful! but institutionalized? [--by the way, you weren't supposed to go on the offensive.]
caitlin: "well who gives about the foundation..not everything has to be taken so seriously. what difference does the FOUNDATION make? does it stop kids from having fun? no..therefore its of no importance, in my humble opinion... don't be a grouchy grinch. lol. you're like the grinch who stole halloween."
me: ^_^
