and then our exile

...after a short hiatus (Umar and Muntaka deciding not to open themselves to target-practice), the UPE is back with a vengeance: many totally unrelated and very different clients appearing within a single day. One, a scholar of the Discourse involved in the political broils sweeping the academic scene, wishing upon the services of the randa-loge--from whom i extract only expectation, love, a model; secondly, the Chief Editor of an international journal, calling on his contractedly official Assistant Editor--from whom i extract nothing on principle. Then, a hard-working university student with a thirst for knowledge and a calling for marriage--from whom i extract copious amounts of du'a (can du'a be quantified? no. but, it's the theory of the thing, y'know.). A young father of two needing a different sort of service--from whom i forgot to extract anything. Finally, a penitent Someone of the sPPP-UPMC, to grace my humble clientele with beauteous form and honourific mission--from whom i extract bones and clothes, though few of either at the moment.
A lucrative business (extractionextraction), the UPE is open and "aiming to please", Monday through Sunday, every week of the year.

One comment: although moose don't exactly conform to our conventions of 'beauty', they do move with a certain grace we would do well to emulate. The wonders of Creation. (i still laugh at the "Mama--where is your hijab?!")(also i have taken photographs to send Thomas de Grenwode. :)
