and then our exile

So, backing up to Saturday evening--the infamous Islamic program manifest at the MCE ("Diseases of the Heart"), followed by HFC enveloped-in-lipids and variations on The MSA Joke ("if that's what you want in a wife you should marry Muntaka"). Zooming through empty city streets at 1am with the Iron Triangle and MSabri singing from the back seat ("...Allahu..."), and then planning a sleepingbag party under the stars until 2.45 whereafter sleep which is actually basketball in a blue tshirt. Document'ries and AIYC slideshows a few hours later, and peer pressure to go for nutrition. i stand up to peer pressure! (^_^) Things which yet make me smile: including the sisters in brotherhood; "why the hell are you laughing?!!"; "just like your jacket"; "but you've got your health!"; "aap kitne bajhe waapas aiey? --(mumble)".
The best part of the weekend: the qiyam led by the brothers from Calgary. Qir'ah as a stream of sparkling water and "arrows of light". Also just the general fact of being around those who personify the hadith (...mir'atul...), updating my pretensions to grae ash. Such must be my future.

Yesterday: Usman's eighth word: "ogay" (okay). Paraphrasing something ZK said as we spake on how all is new for the young: to get used to things is perhaps one of the most harmful things one can do, as it renders perception of good meaningless (ie. ignoring bounty) and skews cognizance of bad (ie. whatever).
