and then our exile

I sit at babaji's computer surrounded by walls of books I too wish to someday read [A Social History of Truth, for example], and hope no one wakes up.

So! a "cozy" rally today. I was first at Gazebo Park [my honour remains unsullied], followed by Leigh and Lara and then Kevan and the rest. He brought communist-party flags, many of them, and I began to wish we had other flags to balance them out. We sat around for forty-five minutes, talking (ostensibly making notes) and so on, until we had more than 25 people [+/- 500]; LC was emcee, and, on the whole, did a decent job of such. And I--I talked to Bayan and Muntaka and Al*n Cliff, who actually showed up. Now, he's actually enthused about such...Which makes me rethink past conclusions. He's nearly converted on Iraq, and came to the Palestine rally, but i yet disagree with him yet on "moral responsibility vs. national integrity" and economics [from SUNIA]. But, enough on that.
We marched down Whyte Ave shouting things that quickly grew monotonous ('g r e e d george bush you greedy...'). Too i darted up to Alhambra Books. Back at Gazebo Park, I managed to speak. With the feeling something was wrong with my speech, but not quite sure what... Ammiji said 'twas alright, though, as have others. Meh. But Bayan was awesome, with the beginning of khutbaat.

Muntaka has made comments too many. Both as per person termed "Miss Iraq" and the men who made the Renaissance. Soon it shall come to war. :@

After, Babaji's talk at the masjid. To the heart. Nearly an hour long, with a basic message of making this Ramadan shadeed and methodologies and principles of approach to doing so. Carrot cake to follow, with Farooq-who-came-not-to-the-rally. Usman, Hamoodi and Hamza: those i have regarded as the essence of childhood beauty.

Drove home in the white car, what i have not done for a while. Have said such before; I will say it again: automatic transmission is tantamount to cheating.

I read the Deptford Trilogy until sleep. And tomorrow morning I must do lots of physics.
fi amanillah, & wasalam.
