and then our exile

As I sat in the car outside SaveOnFoods waiting for people watching the straw bales they have to seat pumpkins on wondering if we might be able to get a couple for our chickens [strawbales.], I caught something by Antonin Lastnamegoeshere on CBC. Which led me to be bothered once more as per his last name. I'd already asked a couple of individuals; they all got through the "Dvor" and then got stuck. and so I asked Ammi at supper; she ended up humming the first few strains of the New World Symphony, and playing Humouresque on the piano. And the piano-book had his name. People, I have the answer: Dvoøäk. Antonin Dvoøäk. ^_^
Having got that out of the way, I have decided to use this place for something actually useful: the propagation of worthy knowledge I attempt to appreciate. Ahadith and so on. I begin soon.
Zia Khan gave the khutbah at the MCE today. The things he said were all very straightforward, but with hidden profundities which [those i understood] touched the heart. Some things, too, which were quite funny, especially the way he said "muharb al-muqaddasiy" when speaking of the term "holy warrior" {as opposed to mujahid/jihad}. and then he did some delicious comparisons between aspects of the Bible and aspects of the Qur'an.
coming out of the masjid, Murtada, Zachariya and Umar were on their way up the stairs, and so we crashed in a growling bear hug with zachariya in the middle saying ow.
Everyone must come and see my room. It is blue and beautiful.
Everyone must also come to the march tomorrow. {>Jaggi Singh might be speaking!!<} And [unless GONOTified] also to the fundraiser for the new youth centre the al-Ikhwan is trying to get together. 6.45pm at the Leefield Community Centre [just across from the Markaz]. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'll go or not.
[this time tomorrow Ramadan may have begun.!]

Death is the miserable fate of a humble people who accept scorn in order to remain alive.
Death chooses those who are not brave enough to choose martyrdom.
