i drink at coffee and have just finished peanut butter flax cookie. It was nice. Noor made them yesterday. It is good having a little sister, and a little sister who bakes is u:ber-cool. Yes. Yesterday was for peanut butter flax cookies ginger cookies brownies gingerbread poppyseed cake apple pie and other to make my stomach happy. Too to Abu Anas's fi amanillah-gathering, saw some people. Things i learned of Usama: a good game of chess, follows hockey, twins are to be; his father was in Fallujah during the worst of the Amerikkkan evil. (!!) (Abu Usama is secretary of [LifeRelief].)
The new "prime minister" of Iraq has a 20-year history of CIA-works, which is always fun. Further awae, Pakistan grows a step closer to civil war: curfews in Karachi, and collective punishment of certain tribes. What in the dunya?! i knew Musharraf had sold himself, but--collective punishment explicitly counters all international law, so where the hell is any kind of outcry? These are *human beings* whose lives are being destroyed--sometimes (when anarchism goes radikal) i think the only way to grow flowers in this smog is by burning down this culture of exploitation and starting anew. And that's another thing. People talk so much of "international law", but does it really mean anything? Palestine Afghanistan Chechnya Kashmir East Timor Columbia Nicaragua Bolivia Iraq Amerikkka even Canadada--after somebody's been raped a million times, are they still alive? i probably shouldn't say this where Someone'll hear me, as i don't mean to disrupt plans for the twenty-year-new ICJ, and break-phonecalls are blue-spotted butterflies, but hum.
Today we try to clear what JG calls the treasure-troves of suburbia, except with us it's more like ruralria, and the things are tractor-spindles and hydraulic oil-hoses as well as the miscellany-junk that's always useful. Next year we iA keep bees, so if you want real honey, contact me beforehand.
i need a haircut.
There's comfort in Catholicism. And chaos-theory is like trinitarianism.
JohnM: "don't you find it ironic that you of all people make fun of someone's faith?"
me: "no."
Over the past months i have watched readership of this page oscillate from 8 page-loads / day to about 40, and back; now, though, know that i take a slight hiatus. Boycott turning palpable. So, fair people, feminists of altering brands, know that i return in a couple of weeks, given the will of the Almighty, and that i love you all (well, to varying degrees), and that you're all exhorted to remember me in your du'a, that we have jannah everlasting, and to send me thoughts and emails and letters, because i shall miss you; on that note, i go.
Keep it real.
