and then our exile

All of this is very strange. The thought struck me tonight: this is my last winter before I too depart. Next Ramadan I'll iA spend in Damascus or Tarim. Still have to figure out logistics. If I leave in early-August, go through Britain, visit people there, stop off in SouthernSpainWhichILove, visit people there, (and possibly too greet Someone if she's in the area), and then down to Jerusalem, where I volunteer with the ISM [i have set my heart on this. but have a eulogy practically assured as the final-consequence of Vic's Mr. Johnston, so all is not lost] for a few weeks, before months of intensive study at Fath or Dar al-Badr. Or maybe the ISM-work will be afterwards. But, no matter: this is my tentative plan.
It shall be strange without Farooq. Though only for a few months.
On another note, today at taraweeh, I also for the second time stood next to the person who eats deep-fried garlic before coming. ^_^ It wasn't as overpowering this time. AlhamdulillahiRabbil'alameen.
Also: "Patsy" must post something more on poemranker. I'm not being hypocritical, just departing from principle. So. []
