and then our exile

Just finished The Autobiography of Malcolm X. I'd meant to read it for a while, and the planted seed was nourished by a conversation with Ibrahim Daniels of CAIR-Can and Malcolm Az*nia/Minister_Fa*st, on the day of the press conference at the MCE. Read last night till 12.30 and began again right after Fajr. All I can say, really, is that he not only is a personal "hero" but also gives me hope in a world that is very much messed.

I am also ready to argue with anyone not subscribing to his activist approach to life. He's eclipsed MLK, whatever Muntaka says. All must read the book. As in, seriously.

On another note, silhouettes enrapture me. Of trees, I mean. Against red night sky. Last night was ... "amazing".
This morning, too: cloud-bursts of shifting, tenuous light framed by branches. The sky is Sky: kiss the sky.
