What is very sad is that Canadians are setting up two-ton monuments to six soldiers martyred in Afghanistan while people in that country live in conditions the six soldiers would never have imagined. With all due respect to The Troops, more will be killed as resistance operations escalate, until the US gets out and stays out. Ani diFranco's put it more bluntly (scroll down).

Ever since Thursday I've had a good time but done little work. Until yesterday, it was one meeting after the next: Someone, Farooq, Zachariah, Murtada--all while physics awaits, and bio looms ominously above.
And, now, I need to find out that yes there is indeed a 4 o'clock bus going in to Rutherford from Sherwood Park, and yes indeed if i want to come back at 9.30pm(-ish) there'll be a bus then too.
