and then our exile

[Zachariya is to be copied. Yes.]
I have just done something very irresponsible and have had a beautiful, beautiful time. City-people might not appreciate it, but I have driven people home from the MCE, looked up at the sky, and was unable to really go back in--and so threw on an old jacket of my father's, jammed my feet into skibootsfromlastyearwhichnowareverymuchtoosmallandsomyfeetarepinched, and went outside for half an hour of glory: over hills and under branches, through snowy meadows, the only sound that of a bird at the marsh carried over through the wind and the steady shwoofshwoof of skis on snow. subhanAllah. As in, really. The actualization of an idealistic dream I've had for too long. All by myself. Stark shadows on sparkling white. Me and the trees. [Onlyproblem=thatmypantsnearlyfroze andsoeverytimeimovediclangedagainstthem sendingshiverseverywhere].
Also got my interim reportcard in the mail today. I have a 100% average in English. ^_^ and sciences aren't bad--physics, the lowest, is an 86. But I honestly do not understand how I got a 90 in math, so far--i understand nothing of what i do, merely cromple something together and stress a lot. But, alhamdulillah.
Having said that, I have an exam tomorrow I shall do horribly on if I don't begin the unit it is for. And so I must.
[be happy if you go cross-country skiing. and we must all go to the SWC for a late-night ski party. raise the roof!]
