and then our exile

One thing i savour of summer nights is the way dusk and dawn grow elongated--made for sultry hammocks long walks and lying on warm grass, but what notices me most tonight is the smell. It smells like...but that's the thing, i can't pinpoint it exactly, the closest being "fruiticeblossomstar".

Please note that the smell aside the above paragraph is strictly fiction: summer's the last thing it is around here: it froze last night. Seriously. Which is ridiculous. Since when does one have to give growing chickens a heatlamp in the middle of JUNE?

After maghrib today was looking out the window, and something hit me like a Ford 5000 gone wild. Or, a window opening--just, "boom": can you actually believe you're leaving? Like, seriously dude, you're gone in two months. You won't be here. [=inshaAllah./]

By way of accident i added way too much sugar to tonight's coffee. It doesn't taste good anymore.

Nonetheless. i had various things i meant to say right now, but of a sudden other doings call. Et tu, Brut'e?
