waakhasratan lil-fata sa'atan
ya'ishuha ba'da awidda'ihi

'umruhu law kana fi kaffihi
rama bihi ba'da ahibba'ihi

not entirely appropriate for an 'umrah trip, hm. but recently found where i'd been copying out pieces of poetry i'd memorized in sham, there it was.

z: i'm taking my laptop. you should bring yours. [though you don't have one.]
b: laptop of the heart!

wrapping up things. iA leaving in a half a day, ish. "can one man fit in a nomad life" and oh, i need to pack.

b: i'm going to miss my hair after 'umrah.
f: ha. right, so [talks of something else]
b: farooq. i just said, i'm going to miss my hair.
(to s: you have an inconsiderate husband.)
s: it's ok. i feel your pain.

am making a list of things to write about when i have time/get back/etc.

shaykh muhammad's in madinah. !! and i have an excuse to approach him, instead of being a random person ("remember me?").

have a full day in NYC (well, jfk) on the way back - any ideas on touristy things to do?

Stand around important, tall buildings and monuments in New York City and take many pictures of the structures while all the time shifting your eyes around in a suspicious manner.

Assalamu 3alaikum,

Don't forget to make du'a for me at the Haram please.

I'm probably too late, they left already :(

Assalamu 3alaikum.

I'm always jealous of people going to Umrah. Inshallah, soon for me too. Btw, if you ahve a free moment when you're down there, could you throw up a prayer for my mom - that she accept Islam? Jazakallah.

Btw, what's a must-see in Montreal in a two night visit?
