and then our exile

Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 8:11 p.m.

this past week, it is to the point that i cannot walk into SUB, or sit down in the computer lab, or walk in late to my french class, or get on the bus, or even (as of today) go to a musical about genetic engineering with my sister, without either meeting people i know/ knew years ago or having random people strike up conversations with whom i end up having an awful lot in common.

i'm guessing it's the post-'umrah aura.

"a musical about genetic engineering".
hm.
...

i know someone who does "nuclear medicine," but it's not as funky as it sounds.
or, thankfully, as evil.

it was actually a lot of fun. was put on by biofreedom, a committee of APIRG (our OPIRG), and featured mad scientists and evil CEOs and killer bees and pirates and big green terminator plants with superiority complexes.

(and every once in a while i would lean over to noor and tell her the pirate on the left was called greg, and he's an activist who focusses on haiti, or that the green terminator plant is called communist kevan, or that the woman two rows down from us is paula, etc.)
